The following letters are mailed monthly to Churches on our Mail List!  These Churches represent for the most part those which we have at least visited during the year; but most are Churches where we were given the opportunity to Preach and Present the BEAMS Ministry.

‘ If GOD Wills The Evangelization Of The World, And You Refuse To Support Missions, Then You Are Opposed To The Will Of GOD.- Oswald J. Smith’

                                   Dear Pastor and Church,

Since my last Prayer letter, (which I was unable to print, fold, address and mail and is included with this letter), I went to the ER early Sunday morning May 19th with excessive pain in my lower back, causing me to lose my balance.  Fortunately, I did not have a scheduled meeting and planned to be at our Home Church. After a day in the ER and released with ‘meds’, I was referred to a ‘Spine Specialist’, who prescribed Physical Therapy.  As of this writing, while the eight weeks of PT has helped I still have a ‘back ach’ and the Spine Specialist is referring me to a doctor who potentially will prescribe ‘injections’ for my back.  I have dealt with ‘back pain’ off and on for nearly 30 years but plan to do all I can to continue with the Ministry GOD has called us to. 

 

Since May, we continued with our scheduled meetings, but seemingly virtually every week day I was either at PT or we were continuing with follow up tests to identify my ‘Anemia’.  I am writing this letter near the end of August.  The doctors are striving to rule out or identify potential internal bleeding.  The Endoscopy test, which I refer to in my last Prayer Letter, showed I had H-Pylori, an infection in the lining of the stomach, which the Doctor said could cause Anemia.  So, after ten days of medication and a follow up test, this infection is healed, yet a recent Blood test still shows Anemia.  At present, I am on high doses of iron twice daily and scheduled in six weeks for a follow up Blood test. If this Blood test is normal then I will continue taking iron daily; if not then the last test will be a ‘Capsule Study’.  I will take the last test if necessary and receive the injections in my back and I have decided to continue traveling and serving the LORD as best as we are able and let the LORD lead in this ‘doctor stuff’. I am sorry for taking up so much time sharing my medical issues, but they are the cause of us falling behind in our correspondence, again!

 

May 2019

Before the ER trip, we visited with Pastor Lelton James, taught Sunday School and Updated the folks at Bible Baptist Church of Everman, TX; then we traveled to Louisiana Baptist University for the ‘grad week’ to meet new Pastors…during this visit we spent Wednesday night services with Dr. Howard Hall, Shreveport Baptist Temple; next we spent Mother’s Day at our Home Church, Ambassador Baptist Church, Pastors Webster and Smith, Ennis, TX.  Following my ER visit, we drove to Huntsville, TX to Preach and Update the Ministry with Pastor David Beaty and the folks at Grace Baptist Church. Several Church members took multiple boxes of Bibles to mail to Missionaries.

 

 June 2019

This month we followed up with Pastor Tony Graves, Community Baptist Church, Fort Worth, TX and spent Father’s Day at our Home Church.  We had a schedule change and received a call a few minutes later asking me to Preach for Pastor Keith Bates and the folks at Garrett Baptist Church, Garrett, TX.  We then drove across the ‘metro-plex’ to visit and follow up with Pastor Chris Winkle and the Church Family of Bible Baptist Church, Rendon, TX. The last Sunday, we returned to our Home Church to be with Missionaries Bobby and Becky Bonner. Dr. Bonner, is President of International African Ministries and a Board Member of BEAMS. 

 

July 2019

We started the month with Pastor Kenneth Jackson, Dyersdale Baptist Church, Coldspring, TX with their 40th Annual Camp Meeting, where once again those in attendance helped us mail over 16 boxes of Bibles to Missionaries.  The following Sunday, I Preached and we Updated the folks at Southside Baptist Church, Pastor Manny Anchondo, Kaufman, TX.  That Wednesday night we drove east to Royce City, TX to visit and Update Pastor Daniel Ledford and his Church, Calvary Baptist. The next week we visited and Updated Pastor Paul Shearin and the people of Bible Baptist Church, Hillsboro, TX.  A few days later we departed for Ponca City, OK, Harmony Baptist Church, Pastor Jamie Wylie, where I Preached the morning services and then GOD led these precious folks to take and mail 30 boxes of Bibles to Missionaries.  We closed out the month driving back across the ‘metro-plex’ to visit and Update Pastor Jody Witt, Grand Prairie Baptist Church, Grand Prairie, TX. 

 

August 2019

We visited with New Heights Baptist Church, Wylie, TX and Pastor Steve Foster.  Pastor Foster was out of town, but the folks gave us warn welcome and asked us many questions about the Ministry.  The next Sunday night, I Preached and Presented the Ministry for Pastor Roy Webster and the Church Family of Grayson Bible Baptist Church, Sherman, TX. Wednesday we visited with Pastor Eric Neilson and Quinlan Baptist Church, Quinlan, TX.  The next Sunday, Garrett Baptist Church, Pastor Keith Bates invited us back for their 25th Anniversary.  Since I pastored this Church from 2006 to 2012, this was our 13th Anniversary with them.  On the 21st, Brother Alan Stewart delivered 100 boxes of Bibles to our Home Church, which we are Praying GOD will help us mail through our meetings for the rest of the year. 

 

I have included in this letter an ‘Invitation’ to join us the 22nd - 24th Sep for our first ‘4 State BEAMS Bible Conference’ at Twin Cities Baptist Temple, Wake Village, TX. Dr. Charles Trull pastored this Church for many years before the LORD took him to be HIM in Heaven.  In This conference, Pastor Dave Siefert is honoring Dr. Trull’s love for the BEAMS Ministry; by hosting this conference we Pray it will be an annual event to encourage Pastors to help us continue the growth of the BEAMS Ministry.  GOD continues to Bless us and our efforts to do our part to send the ‘Whole Bible to the Whole World’! Pray for us as we continue to Pray for you.

Dear Pastor and Church,
 
I did not intend to combine three months into one Prayer Letter; those of you who follow us on Facebook read our weekly ‘BEAMS Updates’; but, October through December were very busy months requiring a lot of driving and very little time ‘in the office’. While being busy is a tremendous blessing, I have begun to ‘set aside’ time within our schedule to keep up with our Prayer Letters. 
 
The year 2013 was a Great Year for the Ministry! Though I have no previous year to compare, from what others who have traveled down this road tell me, GOD has Truly Blessed. We have been in 90 Churches throughout the State to include trips, West to East, to Washington State, Oklahoma, Arkansas and briefly to Louisiana. Our Ministry also has taken us to Mississippi twice. 
 
We drove about 40,000 milesand I lost count of how many overnights! We ‘broke down’ in San Antonio, TX,  we were ‘broken into’ in Killeen, TX, we were chased out of Oklahoma by a storm and we got lost so many times we named our GPS, ‘DG’, which is short for ‘dumb goober’! BUT, GOD is still in control! We fixed the truck, replaced what was stolen, found a new weather app for my phone and the GPS, well, at least we have not driven into any lakes. Praise the LORD; nothing can take away the JOY of the warm receptions from Pastors and the loving welcome from the people we have experienced!
 
I Preached 77 timesto congregations from eight to over 400! GOD brought two young men to the alar surrendering to the full-time ministry, HE brought many to Salvation and from comments received, lives were touched. All GOD allowed us to speak to, now know our Burden to Send Bibles without cost to our Missionaries. 
 
From our count, GOD enabled us to deliver nearly 600 boxes of Biblesto Churches for mailing. We Introduced the Ministry in every one of the 90 Churches we visited. When you consider the ten Missionaries traveling full time every week of this past year and the entire BEAMS TEAM working in the Ministry in Gulfport, MS, more Churches today support BEAMS than this time last year. More Bibles are in the hands of Missionaries than this time last year. To GOD be the Glory!
 
This year our Home Church, Landmark Independent Baptist Church, Corsicana, TX will host its Second Annual BEAMS Rally 13-15 April 2014. The Rally centered around ‘Great Preaching’ on the Bible, is to give Pastors the opportunity to learn more about the Ministry. Our key Speakers will be Dr. Clyde Box, Evangelist and Conference Speaker; and Dr. Rene’ Freret, President and Director of BEAMS.Monday and Tuesday nights are included to give Pastors the opportunity to attend. For overnight recommendations and more information contact any of the numbers on the letterhead. As always, if we can help you or your Church, please contact us.
